When I was a child, I did not like to study. Although my mom persuaded me to study hard, I usually ignored her words. I thought playing is more important than schoolwork and I should play as much as I could in childhood. Until one day, an accident happened and changed the way I thought.
On that day, I was fooling around as usual. When I was about to go to bed to sleep, the phone rang and my grandmother answered the call. After a few seconds, she told me that my dad had a car accident. I was shocked to the core at that time. Then my family rushed into hospital. I saw my dad lying on the bed painfully. I felt very sad but could not do anything.
After that, my dad could not work anymore. Gradually, his leg healed, but he has suffered from mental illness since then. I think that the accident is a big blow to him. My family lost a backbone suddenly, and I have responsibility to better the situation. As a result, I make up my mind to focus on study.
Without this unexpected experience, I would not be the person I am today. The trial has not finished yet;I will strive for my family.
